Reading as Dialogue with the Author

Last night I was reading a book and wrote notes directly on the pages. I want to teach my daughter: reading is a dialogue with the author.

When you have something to say, write it down. Keep doing it, and things will change.

The act of annotating while reading transforms passive consumption into active engagement. The margin becomes a space for conversation.
