Talking about what people usually do in their spare time. There’s no difference between the high-paid manager of the bank, their daughters and sons who are still in school, and the food deliverers who are thought of as the bottom of society. All they need in their spare time is entertainment. The managers like episodes, and their sons like playing games. And short reels and games are no doubt the ‘food’ for the bottom workers of the society; as I observed, they play mobile phone games when they have time to take a break.

This is what human nature prefers to do. You don’t need to think too much when doing that, and you don’t need to move at all. Just sit on the couch or in the shade of trees, with a chair — yes, just a chair is enough for them — watching short reels or playing mobile games is a really easy thing to get, and offers an instant dopamine return. No energy is consumed, nice and chill. No need to concern too much about the future, just enjoy the relaxing present.

Most people do this, and the big companies, like Tencent and ByteDance, generate the ‘spirit food’ for them. I might say this exploits the weakness of human nature, and the big companies become giants by doing that.

There is only one way to become super rich: using the weakness of human nature. Tencent and ByteDance are both good at it. This is different from the way JD and TB do (and that is the reason why JD and TB can’t make such profits).

As an investor, if you want to make money, what you should do is follow the big guys. So what I should do is just buy into the GAME ETF (just check the code for it) and keep buying it.
